Madrid, 18 de abril de 2018. La Fundación CEIM, en colaboración con la Fundación Max Mazin, entregó las becas y el premio de la “V edición de los Premios Max Mazin”, con los que, por un lado, se quiere ayudar a antiguos alumnos superdotados del Programa de Altas Capacidades de la Comunidad de Madrid en sus estudios universitarios de grado y postgrado; y por otro lado, reconocer el trabajo de profesionales, investigadores, organismos e instituciones que se ocupan de atender a estos jóvenes.
En su quinta edición fueron veinte los alumnos becados por la Fundación Max Mazin, y el premio recayó en la Fundación General CSIC.
El presidente de la Fundación CEIM, Germán López Madrid; el presidente de CEIM, Juan Pablo Lázaro; la presidenta de la Fundación Max Mazin, Atara Mazin; y el consejero de Educación e Investigación de la Comunidad de Madrid, Rafael van Grieken, fueron los encargados de entregar las becas y el premio.
Asimismo, la Fundación CEIM, en colaboración con la Fundación Max Mazin, quiere que estos premios sean un homenaje a la figura de Max Mazin, primer presidente del Patronato de la Fundación CEIM, artífice y principal impulsor de la atención a alumnos superdotados.
Los Premios Max Mazin se enmarcan dentro del Programa de Altas Capacidades de la Comunidad de Madrid. Una iniciativa pionera en España – comenzó a andar en 1999 con 157 alumnos y, actualmente, tiene cerca de 2.000-, de carácter voluntario y gratuito, tiene como objetivo estimular el potencial y la creatividad de alumnos superdotados y evitar su fracaso escolar.
Este Programa, fruto del convenio de colaboración entre la Consejería de Educación e Investigación de la Comunidad de Madrid y la Fundación CEIM, está coordinado por la Dirección General de Educación Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria.
La Fundación CEIM presentó este proyecto al Consejo Económico y Social Europeo, que aprobó un dictamen de iniciativa en el que se recomienda a los 27 Estados miembros a realizar actividades encaminadas a impulsar el potencial de los niños y jóvenes superdotados, tales como: la formación inicial y permanente del profesorado; el diseño y puesta en marcha de medidas educativas destinadas a estos alumnos; integrar en la formación del profesorado el uso de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación y, por último, el estímulo de la creatividad, la innovación y la capacidad de iniciativa.
