“Una brillante idea de nuestras mujeres empresarias está revitalizando la economía de Leganés”. Así lo ha manifestado Santiago Llorente, Alcalde del municipio madrileño, al presentar la segunda edición de ‘Leganés se casa’.
El acto se celebró hoy al mediodía en la sede de Mercedes-Benz Citycar Sur, patrocinador del evento junto a 1001 Bodas. 50 comercios locales participan en el gran acontecimiento nupcial al aire libre, el sábado 23 de septiembre en el centro de Leganés (área de Plaza Ventura Rodríguez y Calle Juan Muñoz). Organizan Unión de Mujeres Empresarias de Leganés (AMEL), Unión Empresarial de Leganés (UNELE) y Ayuntamiento de Leganés.
‘Leganés se casa’ forma parte del proyecto ‘El barrio de las bodas’, una iniciativa emprendedora de AMEL que desde hace dos años agrupa los comercios nupciales de Leganés. El sector nupcial local ha crecido hasta dar trabajo a más de 2.000 profesionales entre pequeños y medianos comercios de moda y complementos, salones y fincas, restaurantes y otros servicios como peluquería, cosmética, vídeo y fotografía, según explica Ana Victoria Muñoz, Presidenta de AMEL.
“El barrio de las bodas ha posicionado Leganés como referente del comercio nupcial para la Comunidad de Madrid”, añade Santiago Llorente.
172.000 bodas al año
En 2016 la Comunidad de Madrid celebró 9.931 bodas, de las que sólo un 24’4% (2.780) fueron católicas, según datos del INE. El auge del comercio nupcial de Leganés se suma a la prometedora recuperación nacional de un sector que organizó un total de 172.000 bodas oficiales el pasado año. “Durante la crisis la facturación de bodas en España bajo de 4.500 a 1.250 millones”, recuerda Augusto Fuentes, Vicepresidente de la Confederación Empresarial de Madrid (CEIM) y Presidente de UNELE. “Sin embargo, de 2015 a 2017 el número de matrimonios ha subido una media del 2’5% anual. Actualmente, celebramos unos 300.000 eventos nupciales cada año”, puntualiza.
Enclave estratégico
Según los datos de 1001 Bodas, el 70% del público de las ferias nupciales madrileñas procede de la Comunidad de Madrid y el resto de provincias limítrofes. Un 26% de ésas parejas madrileñas proviene de municipios de las carreteras de Toledo y Extremadura, por lo que Leganés se reafirma como enclave estratégico del creciente comercio nupcial de la región. “El coste medio de una boda para unos 150 invitados asciende a los 25.000 euros”, confirma Ana Victoria Muñoz.
“El sector nupcial está saliendo de la crisis gracias a la transformación digital”, puntualiza Augusto Fuentes. “Gracias a la colaboración entre ‘El barrio de las bodas’ y el Ayuntamiento, todo el comercio nupcial de Leganés puede afrontar la era digital al mismo tiempo”, concluye. También intervinieron Rubén Bejarano, Concejal de Desarrollo Local y Empleo; Jaime de la Figuera, Director de 1001 Bodas; y Alfredo Cobian, Jefe de Ventas de Mercedes-Benz Citycar Sur. C. Ortiz, Spazio Novias y De Oca a Oca vistieron el posado nupcial de novia, novio y arras.
