Parece que Uber no va tirar la toalla tan fácilmente. Vuelve a España, tras ser prohibido unos meses atrás. En su vuelta al mercado español han renovado su estrategia totalmente con el objetivo de dejar a un lado la polémica surgida en relación a la forma de operar de Uber.
Si has seguido mínimamente la actualidad en el última año no seras ajeno a la polémica que suscitó el lanzamiento de Uber en España. Uber contraataca volviendo a España con su campaña #MovimientoUber. Pero… ¿qué ha cambiado?
Licencias VTC para los conductores de Uber
En su campaña #MovimientoUber, la empresa da su punto de vista respecto a la situación del transporte en España, del impacto de los smartphones tanto en el sector como en el día a día y toca temas de importancia para su operativa como son la regulación del acceso al transporte y la normativa.
Su cambio de estrategia se fundamenta en dejar de lado el servicio de transporte entre conductores particulares (puno de fricción con la regulación actual y los actores preexistentes del sector del transporte) y dan el salto a la prestación de servicios por conductores profesionales con licencia.
La estrategia de Uber no es pionera en España ya que Cabify opera a día de hoy mediante este formato en el que los conductores disponen de licencias VTC (vehículos con conductor privado).
¿Por qué la estrategia de licencas VTC?
Es una estrategia que ya ha seguido en otros lugares del mundo. Por ejemplo, en Chicago, allí puedes encontrar vehículos de Uber con chofer. Si Uber actua como empresa que pone en contacto a usuarios con empresas que alquilan vehículos con conductor cumple la regulación y no va en contra de la ley.
¿Qué distingue el alquiler de un Vehículo con conductor de un Taxi?
Lo cierto es que ambos servicios compiten por una misma tarta del pastel que es el del transporte de personas. Un coche con chófer compite con un taxi pero existen matices. La contratación del vehículo con chófer es previa al servicio y no tienen permitido recoger a usuarios del servicio en paradas ni en la vía pública sin un contacto previo (llamada / internet /aplicación…). En este sentido Uber puede actuar como catalizador en términos de generación de contacto para los vehículos con chófer, pues ayuda a que la limitación de recogida en la vía pública se vea “disipada”.
¿Cómo van a controlar que los conductores tengan licencia VTC?
Este parece uno de los puntos más complejos con esta nueva estrategia. Uber afirma que se hará responsable de verificar los conductores que utilicen la plataforma siendo garantes del cumplimiento de la normativa (antecedentes, seguro, estado del vehículo).
